Somehow the buying of GT3 got me happy \'bout owning a Ps2 again. I haven\'t played the console as much as I first planned to - but that fact will change.

GT3 got me thinking. Now PS2 will soon get few games that are must buys, and will definetely interest me. Until this time, I haven\'t seen a game that truly impresses me and gets me excited - the time after GT3 will be remembered.

FFX - this is on top of my waiting list. Somehow I just can\'t be excited about games in a long advance - but I know that few months before the release, I will have hard time running to the WC, keeping my liquids in the proper place and then release them to the proper place.

Metal Gear Solid 2 - now, who wouldn\'t wait for this? I absolutely fell in love with the demo, and it left me wanting for more. It got my spit-organs working again. The demo gave far greater and exciting experiences than Z.O.E. ever did.

Wipeout Fusion - I absolutely adored Wip3out. And it seems that this sequel will be faster, more furious and harder. It will have so many great improves that it already makes me hit these keys on my \'board hard.

Well, those are my top-three. A few months back on that list was GT3 - but now I own it, so I wiped it out. One of the key-games, one of the 4 reasons why I bought GT3 has hit my shelf. One key-element to make this day a happy one, \'tho the conflicts in the morning ( wich are none of your business btw ;) ) made me feel low.

Unfortunately the evening will go on playing tennis, but the night will go playing GT3 ;)

i agree some of the first games to come out were good, but not excellent...there all too short and easy.

now games are coming out that are starting to be much better.....:D

yeah nintendo always has the  good titles, and they have their own fanbase.

so, they will do better than x box at launch.

also, i just read somthing at teamxbox.com. they were debating which game is better, Progect Gotham, or gt3.  they are praising PG.  god. when will they learn eh?

Yes, the Xbox\'s launch-up simply cannot compete with Nintendo\'s key franchise games such as Luigi, Wave Race, Star Fox, and Rogue Leader. That\'s also why Nintendo fans won\'t care what\'s happening with PS2 at the time.

Franchises= Nintendo\'s unfair advantage.

I remember when SegaCultX came in here posting screens of MSR and GT3 and he said MSR looked better! LOL!

Those were the days...

Little update on me...
« Reply #6 on: July 21, 2001, 11:41:18 AM »
Well, it\'s been a long time since I posted here...  and it\'s all kind of weird...  There\'s been, another console in my life right now.  And it\'s taking away nearly all of my time away from my PS2, and funds as well...  In fact I\'ve sold quite a few of my PS2 titles to buy titles for said system...  What hardware could do this to me?

... Gameboy Advance...  I\'m weird...  I tried to buy GT3 but I couldn\'t get into it, so I took it back so I could import Mario Kart for GBA.  I\'m having a great time, it\'s just odd that this little handheld could have stolen my heart like this.

I know this is a PS2 board of course, but I had been quite a reader and poster here before, and this post was about how some are gaining their interest, but it\'s funny how sometimes I tend to drop off just when others pick up the most.

It\'s ok, Jigen. You\'ve stepped into the light aswell I see. It also also stolen my heart with the magnificant CastleVania:Circle Of The Moon. Don\'t be alarmed by the lack of quality that the PS2 has given, just come further into the almight Nintendo light. Once GameCube is released, you\'ll be saying "PSWOO?", and you will no longer remember the horrible software which plagues PS2 because you\'ll be too busy playing REAL games.

STEP INTO THE LIGHT, SHEEPLE!

I\'m not being serious btw...

Good thing you added that last part, because in your own words GBA only has one good game - Castlevania.

Do you have a crystal ball that lets you see into the future? How do you know that Gamecube\'s launch will be better than Xbox\'s? For all anybody knows, Xbox\'s launch could be better than PS2\'s launch. It could be better or worse but whichever it is, the success of console is based upon it\'s entire life cycle, not necessaraly it\'s initial launch, that\'s the most  important thing.We\'ll just have to wait and see. As far as the Project Gotham versus GT3 comparison goes, it seems silly b/c they\'re two different games but even so , that is a matter of  opinion and some ppl may feel that PG is a better game. You can\'t fault other ppl for having a different opinion than you for whatever reasons they might have. I mean, there were some ppl that purchased GT3 and were actually disappointed b/c they felt it didn\'t live up to the hype. What does all this mean? It just means every gamer\'s taste is different when it comes to games.

I never said it had one good game, I said it had one great game. There\'s a significant difference. This one game is capable of completely changing my opinion towards GBA, that tells you something, hopefully. Some of the other GBA titles were good, but of CastleVania is great.

One great game is better than 100 good ones IMO. It\'s too bad some of you PS2 fans will never begin to understand that...

Tekken Tag Tournament alone was enough to make me happy about being a PS2 owner...me and my friends have played that game so much

but it is good to see a lot more good games coming out
