Original Phantasy Star

Has anyone here finished the Origianl Phantasy Star on the Master System WITHOUT using a guide or being told how to do it.

I remember I was walking around for hours trying to figure out where you go to finish it. If my memory serves me correctly you had to go to the Mansion on the second plant (the desert planet) and you would fall down into the dungeon. Then you had to walk around in the dungeon and face the wall at the exact place to where the secret door was. And when you were just walking along you couldnt see the door.
And you would go through the door to fight Lasic?(I think thats the name) But I\'m sure you would of had to fluke it to find him if you didnt use a guide, or did someone tell you where he was?

Nope, I was using a guide I found the on the net.. but it turns out the guide was wrong on a few points and I became hopelessly lost on what to do. I still haven\'t finished it... but I will eventually.
