:(

I thought Sony have good quality products that dont break. I\'ve got a Sony TV, stereo, minidisc and PS2. Never had a problem with them. My old Sony discman worked fine for about 3 years until I sold it in perfect working order when I got my mini disc, and my PSX still works fine after 3 years.
But thats just my experiences. All companies would have problems with products breaking down. I think sony is one of the most reliable with some of the best quality
A schizophrenic patient will not allow anyone to touch them; not because they would do them some harm, but because they might electrocute them.

I have had alot of SONY stuff over the years and I\'ve only ever had one thing stuff up, and that was my PS2, the motor for the disc tray broke, and it wouldn\'t open or close. So I sent it off and 10 days later had it back.

I think you really need to contact SONY directly and be calm and explain the situation.

Any ways Hope you get it back soon.
I pitty the poor foo

I believe Sony, with many products in store (radios, videos, cameras, 80m of psO, 20 of PS2...) should have a tecnic service in each country. An official service that provides you a really good assistance.
Todas estas cosas se perderán en el tiempo como lágrimas en la lluvia.

Well, first, ps2 cover is made of plastic, not metal.  It will make ps2 cost more if it were made of metal.  If not taken care well, ps2 break easily.  The stuff you have is in good condition because you take good care of it and sony\'s electronic product is reliable but expensive.  Off all the things Sony made, ps2 is the cheapest I see.  Their TVs, DVD player, CD players, etc cost more than other Big Brand Name.

A 34" WEGA Widescreen HDTV flatscreen cost $8,000 with no built in HD receiver makes it so expensive.  Plus, not to mention no dark tint tube, just grey.

While Panasonic also make 34" Widescreen HDTV flatscreen cost $3,500, over 2x less than Sony.
playstation 2 rules.  Nintendo Starcube Dolphin drools.  Hehehahahheheheh...
