At their core Nintendo games are not soley for children, but I place a lot of value on presentation and I don\'t want to look at cute, overweight, cell shaded, big-headed characters squishing/killing (in the most kind way possible) all sorts of mushrooms, animals, insects and vegetation.  It takes me right out of the game, and disinterests me.

I\'m an adult and can handle entertainment geared towards adults and solely towards adults.

communicate ideas. The second is to conceal ideas. The
third is to conceal the absence of ideas.

Most the scores seem somehow unusual. IGN Cube has been touting WR:BS as the greatest title in tha launch lineup and yet NP rates Luigi\'s Mansion higher. And as good as Monkey Ball may be, 5/5 means killer app in my book, and MB is no killer app.

The more I think about it, the stupider these 5 point scoring systems seem. Theres just to great a diffrence between a 4 and a 5 to even know how good a game is. And they\'re not nearly informative enough. The only thing worse that I can think of is Dailyradar\'s idiotic Direct Hit, Hit, Dud rating system.

EGM gave wave race pretty low scores, in fact it was the lowest they reviewed.

I would not discount Nintendo Power.  Oh, I agree they that are one of the worst magazine publications out there, but they have historically had very harsh reviewers on board.  They are actually one of the few publications out there (magazine or online) that did not give Zelda - Ocarina of Time a perfect score.

PS - I do not subscribe to NP, do not buy their magazines, and would recommend that others likewise avoid them.
