ProfessorX i have to agree with you on what you said.
Why the hell do they have to say they like it?, they would sell just as many mags, if they said they didn\'t like it because people would want to read why they don\'t like it!:confused:

I know a magazine who hates a console..
Eventhough they say they like it

You can sort of "feel" it in the way they write about the console..

An xbox magazine isnt going to come out and say the launch of the xbox is dissapointing even if it is.

Why????

If they are saying its not any good, then people wont buy the xbox.
If people dont have xbox\'s then people will have no need for an xbox magazine. So no job for the writers.

Go to the thread that has that Ninteno Mag rating the GCN. They have said all the games are great. When nearly everyone else has been saying most have been a dissapointment, only a couple are any good

Firstly, there is a huge difference between, "If you are really a big fan of action gaming and you have the extra cash to blow..." and "...hands-down the best action game I\'ve ever played in my life".  One is the writer trying to not tick-off the pub/dev too badly and the other the writer gushing with excitement.

Secondly, considering that most mags and sites have been fairly cautious (at time, very negative) when it comes to the Xbox, it seems unlikely that they are bound to the rules that you are suggesting.  Besides, every time a publication says it likes "Console A", fans of "Console B" become irked so it all evens out for them.
