Roofles, Blockbuster is stupid

I go to one to rent GTA3. They\'re out of it. I go to the counter and ask them if they have gotten a copy of it back by chance, they haven\'t. So they give me a coupon to get the game for free whenever they get it in.

So, I go to another Blockbuster, five blocks away. They have GTA3, and they take the coupon.

Pretty good deal, eh?

Yes indeed. *sighs* If only Eb gave us all coupons like that when they ran out of PS2s last year...

And why are you calling them stupid?  THey were nice enough to give you a free coupon for a game and you got to use it.  Heck, almost every time I go to get a game there it is already out.  I never ask though.  Maybe I should.

Well, it\'s just like with Audiogalaxy\'s fairly easy to get around copyright blocking policy (which they\'ve now fixed). It was pretty dumb, how they left it so easy to get by, but I wasn\'t complaining. Same thing here.

Of course, I dunno who in particular was stupid; they\'re not stupid for putting the two Blockbusters close together, for they are not in bad locations. They\'re not stupid for having the whole coupon policy; it\'s a very nice policy to have. Must be a combination of a lot of factors, which in essence aren\'t stupid, but are anyway.

i rented some DVD\'s and i did not return them on time, so
they sent me a freaking notice, i read it, it was for $54
so i returned one DVD and kept the other 2 ....

so you umm, kept THIER property, got late fees, and now yer complaining?

I did not steal their "property" i was out of town, for 4 days, and i got ripped by them for the late charge, so instead of returning the 3 DVD\'s and paying the late fee, i kept 2 DVD\'s (yes i paid the late fee), and gave them 1 DVD back, why should i pay them money for nothing? i kept 2 DVD\'s which i paid for (late fee)

good thing i did not tell you guys about the time i used an HP Photo-printer for 4 months, then i returned it and traded for a Laser-printer,  All i had to do was say the magic words "I will get my lawyer after you"

I guess it is ok for people to switch broken PS2 at Wal-Mart,
