SSX Tricky

Capcom vs SNK 2

Splashdown

Another AAA title, plus 2 other good ones.

SSX with good framerate. I can\'t help but feel cheated. It may have new tricks and new courses but it seems to be that EA rushed the first game and just wanted to re-do the game for a quick buck.

Least I sold my copy of SSX awhile ago cause of crap framerate. I can now purchase it and prehaps enjoy the game. :)

Rich,

The framerate in the original SSX wasn\'t that bad, it dipped to 30 half the time, but you make it seem like it dropped to the 20s, or worse. Maybe because you had the PAL version?

Well anyway, I picked up Tricky today and it is nice. Though it\'s not 60fps 100% of the time, it\'s more stable than the first one. Better presentation, slicker interface, better sound, DTS support (love this one), and faster loading. Only managed to play for like 15 minutes tho. Back to work.

Yeah you won\'t believe how much slower the PAL versions are.

We probably get the same dips in frame rate but our dips will go into the bad areas wheres yours might avoid them.

I just hated it how it seemed to dip on every single corner.

Is it like this still on SSX Tricky ? or are the dips less obvious ?

PSM2 have a review here in the UK, they gave it 95% and said that there are no dips in framerate whilst cornering. I didn\'t buy the original, but wanna get this one, glad I waited now
Playing: GTA3 (96%) - Pro Evo Soccer
Wanted: HALO - MGS2 - JSRF - VF4 - FFX - SC2 - PROJECT EGO - TS2

Rich,

I am as anal as they come. (taken the wrong way I bet :D)

By that I notice any framerate dip in any game, cause I have these bionic eyes that notice the faults in everything, unfortunately. Tricky does drop, and it\'s not necessarily in a turn, but every now and then.

Rest assured though, it\'s nowhere near the same as in the first SSX. Get it, I don\'t *think* you would be disappointed. Though the PAL version might differ a bit...
