As a martial arts action movie, The One is pretty tame. Even the Jet Li vs Jet Li scene.

You want amazing choreography in a Jet Li film, go watch The Legend 1 & 2 aka Fong Sai Yuk. Or The New Legend of Shaolin or the Once Upon A Time in China series.

Even The Matrix had better martial arts scenes than this movie, I\'m sorry to say.

But in terms of story, this is easier to understand and also cooler.

July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

I agree that the Martial arts was not as good as in other movies, but the amazing special effects and cool story made up for that.

Yes, I saw most of those.. The only ones I didn\'t see were The Legend 2 and The New Legend of Shaolin.. They all definitely beat the martial arts of The One hands down..

Once Upon A Time in China 2, The Legend, and Iron Monkey have the best martial arts out of all the movies I have seen, IMO.

Do yourself a favor and watch The Legend 2 and The New Legend Of Shaolin. They\'re both available in the US on VHS and DVD.

And who has seen Once Upon A Time In China & America? Here\'s some interesting facts about it.

Sammo Hung is the director & choreographer.

The western theme was Jackie Chan\'s idea.

It was originally supposed to be a collaboration between Chan & Hung.

Hung, instead, worked with Jet Li and "stole" Chan\'s idea.

It soured their relationship.

But after apologizing, they\'re both on better terms.

Chan eventually went on to make Shanghai Noon.

Don\'t think it is worth buying. :D

A rental is good enough for me.
