I didn´t buy the first one, and now, I´m thinking seriously getting this second part. Thanx for the info.

I got so caught up in the Show-off mode where the frame rate is surprisingly smooth, which lends itself to a much more pleasing experience (IMO), that when I decided to race, I was taken back by the one of the choppiest games I have experinced in a while.

I can live with the stuttering frame rate in the race mode, but it really detracts from the presentation, and ultimately the pleasure of playing SSX.

It\'s a shame, because even though Tricky is still a great game, it\'s a bit of a let-down considering all the time they had to make improvements, with the frame rate that is. Don\'t get me wrong, it\'s still an enjoyable game, but I guess that I had higher hopes for some aspects of this version.
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

I never had a problem with the frame rate with the original

Ditto...I\'ve read many posts about this, but in all my many hours of playing SSX, I never once went "Wow, that slowed down a bit there"...what I did a lot of was "Wow...never noticed that sign I can grind on there," or "whoah, another shortcut I missed? No way..."  Seriously, I never noticed any slowdown...and I hear the original is far surpassed by Tricky in all aspects...all the old courses are supposedly redesigned as well.  As for all you idiots who say "I don\'t like snowboarding games":  Neither do I.  Just believe every other freakin\' person on every board around and buy SSX Tricky, since you obviously didn\'t buy the original...as for me, I\'ll have to wait, since MGS 2 is taking all my time right now...

Exactly, it wasnt bothersome. Sure it was there, but I was having too much fun to even notice it.
I only noticed it when people started pointing it out, but I soon forgot about it again once I concentrated on playing

This game really is fun. The new uber tricks in the game are great and I love the fact that characters on the course can become mad at you depending on how you treat them on the slopes. I was not expecting much since I played the original to death but surprise, surprise! Great graphics. Great tricks. Great courses. Great game. For those of you who did not pick up the original last year well...your in for a treat.
