PC: Reports in the U.K. trade press have suggested that the long-awaited sequel to Half-Life is just six months away from completion.

Industry wide speculation has been suggesting that what could be the most anticipated sequel ever will be announced at next week\'s Euro trade event, ECTS. Reports have also arisen lately suggesting that the title will be released on Xbox.

Sierra, or indeed Valve Software, have yet to confirm any of this yet, but come to think about it, they\'ve yet to say anything at all about the follow-up to what\'s widely considered the best FPS ever made.

Let just hope that the sequel is nearly done, because we can\'t take many more weak Blue Shift type products and neither should you! We need a new Half-Life experience – and we need it now.

X-Box gets a big one, MAYBE.  PC... more than likely.  PS2, eventually.  Maybe something good will come of this.

please note ooseven will kill for Screen shots of HL2 if there is any at the moment

I remember reading somewhere that Half Life 2 would be a multi-player game lke Quake 3 and UT.  I do think that Half Life is the best FPS still out there, but I hated multi-player games like Q3 and UT so I will be dissapointed with HL2 if this is the case.

Sierra has kept Half-Life 2 very much in the dark.  Little information is known about it, what we do know is that Half-Life 2 is very much a reality, it is nearing completion.  We also know that is most likely headed to the X-Box AND PC(for you non X-Boxers).   Sierra probably won\'t reveal screens until a month or two before it\'s release, perhaps very soon, but what you people have to understand is that HL2 does not need to feed us screens to keep us hungry.  Sierra already established the Half-Life series, all we need now is the game.  Don\'t worry, screens and movies will be out soon enough.

BTW, for current Half-Life gamers, this bit of information may be interesting for you.

half-life is a an extremely overrated game IMO, lame story, single player for most of the game very dull and ****ty multiplay. Yeah CS is good,..but not all "that great". I know countless people who only say half-life is great because of CS, they have neevr even tried the singleplayer

I still think games like UT and Q3 are far better, but thats my opinion :) Half-Life was good (not great) in the past but it needs to be forgotton, its time to move on

I would not be suprised if HL went to xbox, I wouldn\'t care since it\'ll go to pc anyway, even then I wont be getting it. Id rather have team fortress 2 or a new Quake multiplayer game since thats the way FPS are heading.
