All I can say for these 2 games are...WOW!!!!
Shenmue 2 - Yes, it\'s more of the same, and anyone who enjoyed the first game will feel instantly at home, but the sequel is far more user-friendly and better-paced.
After about 30 minutes of gaming, you\'ve already been introduced to a packed and detailed cityscape, an excellent QTE, real-time combat, and a myriad of NPC\'s, and I\'m still on disc 1!!!!
The city is huge, far exceeding what was on offer in Shenmue, and everything is much more detailed - however, there are frequent bouts of slowdown, especially when running through a busy street.
A couple of great features are that when you start out in the morning after you\'ve saved, you can immediately go to a destination (e.g part-time work) at the click of a button, saving unwanted travelling, and this really makes a difference as the city is much BIGGER.
Also, disc 4 allows you to play any of the mini-games that you\'ve game across in the game. So, once you play Outrun, Space Harrier II in the actual game, boot up disc 4, and you\'ve got free-play on those games! And if you\'re like me, and love all those old arcade games, you\'ll feel like you\'ve just purchased a mini-emulator as well!!!!
Better in every way, Shenmue 2 is the swansong for the DC.
Headhunter - Yes, it is a combination of Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil and Robocop, but it all fits into place.
As with MGS, you can sneak up on players to take them out with a nice neck-break, can sneak against walls peering out at corners, do rolls, with a nice Zelda-esque lock on to enemies.
There are some basic puzzles, but thankfully do not shorten the pace to an intense action game.
THe bike sections, where you roam the streets are initially dissapointing, as you can\'t get off the bike to roam the streets for yourself, and the bike feels VERY heavy when turning, but you get used to it.
THe graphics are superb - no slowdown, smooth and colorful, with some great grimy textures for the interior locations of old buildings, and colorful vibrant colours for outside etc,.
The Robocop element comes from many cut-scenes with 2 real actors talking in a satirical manner, and is extemely polished, if a little lengthy.
US users, if can play PAL games, import these 2 games straight away - you will not regret it!!!!!!
