My PS2 broked HELP!!!!!!!!!

Ive had my PS2 for about 10 months now.  It has worked fine until about 2 days ago.  It quit playing some DVD movies it played before.  Now, it quit playing any game that is not on a DVD. Which means no PS1 games or PS2 games that are on CD\'s.  Ive read a few forums and seem about 20 other people who have had the same problem.  But nobody knows what to do about it.  I could send it back to sony, but im fairly sure the warenty is out, and i is broke.  If anyone knows what i can do about this, or has had this problem, please give me some help.

It may have overheated from dust getting inside. You should always dust your system with a rag or dust will lay in it like a thick blanket that can make the system become overheated and burn out.

Maybe you should get it repaired.

Try a lens cleaner before you do anything else.
