WOW! that is some good info on the PS2. Are they scientist?  Sounds like they know how the PS2 chips work together. So is PS2 has a low input with a high out put?  :D

dang Bossieman, don\'t know how to say this, but thank you!!! You just made my nasty day a lot nicer. This is by far the most amazing thing I have read about the PS2 and it\'s first hand too. I\'ve visited ArsTechnica regularly, but not the forums. So I guess I missed out on quite a lot, but this is really great info. Thanks again. :) :) :) :) :) :)

Yeah, thanks Bossieman.  That is some really good info on the PS2.  Has anyone else downloaded the user manuals for the PS2 Linux box?  There are hundreds and hundreds of pages on every little detail of the PS2, including the EE users manual, the GS users manual, and the VU users manual.  I\'ve got my reading material for the next 6 months. :D

This is some really great stuff. :)

Reading that thread has more than anything else made me feel like the biggest, low IQ having, moron on earth.  That whoosh you kept hearing was things FLYING over my head! LOL!  Seems as though the PS2 has alot of unknown abilities that have\'nt been tapped into yet.  I\'d like to know what its really capable of though, is it just going to keep getting better and better and are we going to see games on it a year from now that exceed anything we thought possible?  Or has it hit a ceiling graphics-wise with games such as MGS2 and GT3?  The quote in there saying that GT3 only uses 25% of the PS2\'s capabilities really caught my eye.  Only thing is, I hear this point of view but then I hear other developers such as ID(makers of Doom, Quake) say that while they could make the new Doom on X-Box, they could\'nt make it on PS2.  Even the developers of Devil May Cry stated in NG magazine said they had to tone down the detail to keep the framerate solid and wished they had more power to work with.  *In state of confusion over what the hell the real story is*

Thanks everyone. when I read this I was very exited.
There is a lot of tech talk about the PS2.
What we think about the PS2 or GC or xbox is NOTHING. we can belive we know how they work but actually we don´t know much at all. that is why it is so interesting to read stuff like this.
