The original TimeSplitters, which made launch day, and which delivered a gun-blazing 60 fps first-person shooter experience to the PS2, was a fun, but less-than balanced game that sorely lacked a single-player experience. It leaned heavily in the four-person multiplayer direction, which was fine with us, because it still is a great multiplayer game. But the guys who comprise Free Radical honed their FPS skills on the consoles with Goldeneye 007, and they simply weren\'t happy with it.
