problems with PS2

Am I the only one having problems with my PS2?  For example, it won\'t play PS1 games, it often has problems playing PS2 disks, that are brand new out of the box.  Sometimes games freeze in the middle and I have to restart, Twisted Metal: Black for example, freezes everytime I play within a few seconds, every time.  I\'m just wondering if its a common problem with a lot of PS2\'s or mine is jacked up and what I can do about it.

Common or not, I\'d say if your PS2 is doing that, it\'s Jacked wouldn\'t you?  Take the thing back and exchange it for another one.

mine started to do that found out i had one of the original ps 2 with driver problems took it back to store i had a warrinty so they gave me a new one

Clearly there\'s nothing wrong with your PS2. It\'s just deciding to be a little belligerent. Why don\'t you teach it a lesson by hitting it with a hammer? If that doesn\'t work, try dropping it off of a bridge. You are not a PS2\'s b1tch! Stand up and fight back my brotha!

The PS2 hardware is very ****! It has a lot of problems. Good luck dealing with Sony. I have just recently managed to get a working PS2 from them.

yeah ive hade my ps2 since launch and im having driver problems too. Its a B***! I dont think i could trade one for a new one and im pissed as hell. It wont play anything except dvd games which dnt even work all the time. : (

I\'m having some of the same problems.  It\'s an outrage! :rpissed:

I\'m thinking of taking it back and getting a new one as well.

tyrant080, try and use a DVD-CD lens cleaner.  My ppoblems was it didn\'t read any blue disc games.   I just used a DVD-CD lens cleaner and it work fine.
