Conclusion:
•Code with the system not against it –DMA is the key –Keep the Vector Units busy –Use that fill rate

After reading the entire article I have come to the conclusion that developers are not intelligent and cannot read. Otherwise they would be able to see that its as easy as printed :rolleyes:

I wish I could have been there when the guy gave this speech (it\'s obvious that these are just the slides used during his speech).  Most of that was pretty interesting.  The textures part was my favorite though.  I\'m shocked at how big of a memory usage difference there is between sending the two textures in seperately or combining them as one texture. (That is if I\'m understanding that correctly -- it\'s kind of hard with just the slides.)

Specs don\'t excite me at all. All I care about is to play games on it and not study it\'s every chip and dooda that so happens to make it all work. Just plug and play, I say :)

thats all bull**** and everyone (8+Milk=Bloated Prostate) knows it...people have been saying for ages "just wait til developers start using the PS2 to its potential"

not gonna happen...we\'ve seen some amazing (breasts) games that rival XBox and GC and exceed in some cases...but the (nipples are too large) theorhetical limit of the PS2\'s powers will never be reached...

we see FFX, MGS2 and many others using texture streaming properly, and the vector (penis retractor) units, but not at the machines potential??  why not....cos its not gonna happen...

~~~~~~~~
not that im bitter :P
great games...great looking games....great machine.....god damn im one sexy mother ****er
