Osama and a recession economy could not stop games sales from toping a all time high in US. Says a lot for the industry.

Automotive? Why them? The biggest economic victims are hotel industry, cruise ship and airline industry, restaurant industry....that\'s a lot of people.

Comparing Osama Bin Laden and video gaming in one sentence.   Oh my.

I can hear it now:

"You know what would be really cool?  After the buildings collapse and we kill all those people, it would be great if we could shut down their console gaming market.  Those crazy people and their games.  I\'ll show them."

Videogames are doing it very well. I read 2 days ago (don\'t remember what web) that videogames industry has made more money than cinema in USA for first time... that means that videogames are more popular everyday... and that\'s great :)

They\'re not necessarily more popular, but they are getting up there.  You have to factor in that video games cost $50 each, and then you have to add in the $300-$500 price of the console and accessories.  Movie tickets only cost from $4 to $10.

Yes i know, but you have to know that few years ago, games in USA only make 1% of the cinema industry money in the States. Now, sources speak about videogames and its profits. Notice that videogames have now a big market, and Sony has played a nice paper in this.

Well Zdnet said I just posted it. The fact is the economy is in a recession. And it seems damn near every industry was being affected. Then the terrorist attacks happen. And that cause and even lower slump. Just today GM announce they will be cutting jobs.

But the video game industry stands strong with every other industry posting low profits games sales are a all time high that\'s sweet.
