Gotta D**k head pitcher on our hands..
« on: February 21, 2002, 06:19:21 PM »
Why, oh why did John Rocker have to be traded to the Rangers?  I know thier pitching staff sucks and everything but anyone besides John Rocker. I think everyone just wants to get rid of him.  Im thinking he\'ll last just bout as long w/the Rangers as Denis Rhodman did w/the Mav\'s.

Well at least you don\'t have any Jews, blacks, or women on welfare in Texas.  All should be just fine.
I wear a necklace now because I like to know when I\'m upside down.

Don\'t worry. He\'ll get mad at Alex Rodriguez for something, don\'t worry.

Oh yeah, the Cubs are going to go to the World Series this year. Honest. Sosa, McGriff, Alou. WOO!

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

HaHa, yea if only all that was true.  I dont think the other players on the team are that happy bout it either. I dont know though, well guess I\'ll be watching more Astro\'s ball this summer than Rangers

Dude. If you watch the Astros over the Rangers simply because of John Rocker, I will have to like...I don\'t know, but it won\'t be good.

Astros - 2nd biggest asses in the Major Leagues. 1st? The St. Louis Cardinals, of course.

Well Alex just plain sux\'s now. I dont think he\'s man enough to put up w/that Texas heat.

Actually if u look at it, every supposed to be good player on the Rangers sux\'s all of asuden. Maybe it\'s somekind of conspiracy to make Rangers managment think they cant win no matter how many great players they have on the team.

Well, to be general, Alex Rodriguez had the best season if his career last season...Rafael Palmero had a damn good season, too. Problem is, when you don\'t have a pitching staff for ****, you can\'t win games, like, at all. Todd Van Poppel and Rocker SHOULD be good Bullpen pitchers, so you got some help there. Chan Ho Park is good, along with the other guy, forogt his name, but he was a damn good starting pitcher...crap...

Well, I\'d root for the Rangers..if not that....The Texans start play in 7 months :)

Seriously, the Rangers do have a shot to do something, just stick with them, and barring how the Mariners do with Ichiro, they just might have a shot at a Wild Card slot...just gotta wait it out, though.

John Rocker got a raw deal

he was in a game in NY having NYC losers throwing stuff at him calling his mother names etc...

SO he loses his grip after the game andverbally abusses NYC

Most of what he said is 100% true

its just not right to actually say it out loud when your are on TV

and he more then likely what he said is not the way he really feels

Hasn\'t anyone here cursed out someone or some ethnic group in a fit of anger.

I know you have.

Rocker is a good pitcher, and should help the Rangers

I for one never took all this John Rocker stuff too seriously. People make mistakes and say things they really didn\'t mean.

If it happens again, then I would be a little more harsh on him, but it probably won\'t and lesson learned

Well I remember a time in 1996 when they won the West and that\'s bout the greatest acomploshment they\'ve made. But if u have ever watched them they always choke around playoffs time. Maybe, ur right tho. ROL. They have great potential now, it would be the coolest thing to see them win a World Series, atleast sometime in my lifetime.

Now about the Cowboy\'s, er... well...thats another story

Cubs winning the WS? About as likely as Britney Spears winning an Oscar...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.
