CD Label removal
« on: March 10, 2002, 11:25:19 AM »
I just bought a used game from Blockbuster, but it has one of their "trademark" labels on the CD. Is there a way to get it cleanly off without damaging the CD?

There is also an annoying label on the case. Though not as important as the CD label, how can I get that one off too? :)

I dunno maybe alchohol will work. I know alchohol is good for getting stickers off things. Put rubbing alchohol on there and let it sit for like five minutes then try and see if the label will come off. I\'m not totally sure but it\'s worth a try.

Whatever you use, do it with a lint free cloth.

Dude, just use lighter fluid and a very fine cloth.

Works for me.

I don\'t have any lighter fluid. Is there a replacement I could use?

Thay make something called googone,I believe it\'s citrus based. It takes the adhesive behind the label off.Just be careful with anything you use.If possible try whatever you use on something you can afford to lose first.
