It does look pretty bad.  I can\'t see this game being good.

Well, Dr. jm has provided us all with useful information.

This games graphics are garbage.

Damn, some of you are real idiots.  Battlefield 1942 is not going to suck, go read some previews of the game before you start spouting your ****.  I can\'t believe how immature some of you act just because a game isn\'t coming out for PS2.

From an interview with the developer;

 Multiplayer is definitely something we are putting a lot of effort into. Some of the larger scenarios will support up to 64 players at one time! The possibilities are nearly endless of what could happen when you mix 64 players and tons of cool vehicles into one game.

btw-I think those screens are of the PC version, Gamespot has the same pics in their preview of the PC game.

I like how this guy holds the rifle like a pistol. No wonder he\'s aiming AWAY from the plane....as big a target as it looks. Didn\'t even lead the target. :p

I\'m not drawing to any conclusions to whether this game will suck or not. I\'m just futher noting, that for an X-box game, that\'s an exclusive (no?) for X-box technology, they aren\'t going to take advantage over any FSAA or Trilinear filtering or large textures? Please, with today\'s crowd being spoiled by pretty graphics, their standard has risen. If they dare to look at a game that looks half as bad as that, I don\'t even think gameplay is gonna save the game from eye bleeding visuals.

Also, multiplayer with 64 people on screen??? I thought people learned their lesson already in the Q3 days and Wolfenstein. Anything more than 32 players is insane. Your gonna need a fat pipe to get acceptable pings and more than an X-box to get a decent frame rate.

Just my two cents

Well, the resaon I think it\'s going to be bad because it looks like a PC game and it\'ll probably play like one too.

But, just because Halo has lag with 10 people over gamespy is no indication of what xbox online will be like.

Also, you cannot draw conclusions based on your PC experiences.  The DC had a great online experience and that\'s with a 56k connection.  With a broadband only scenario you will see a great improvement in lag and performance over that of a PC.

Well I\'m drawing to any conclusions, but Watchdog is right to a point, because in most scenerios, it\'s been told that PC\'s can\'t keep up with the data being transfered (?) or the NIC cards are the weakest hardware link in a PC when it comes to transfering online information, I can\'t remember which theory applied.

But I\'m just saying, having more than 32 people on screen is quite insane if you ask me :rolleyes:
