Very bad news about the Price Drops

yeah bad news for both the customer and the retailer
thier profit margin just got a little smaller

can you imagine tho, how many angry parents go back in to the stores after buying an xbox or PS2 for 299$ in the last few weeks only to be told "tough titties!" about thier 100$

registered Xbox owners will get a \'thank u\' gesture from Microsoft. An Xbox Controller + 2 Games. (I think)

But even more importantly, I fully expected the store clerk to smack him in the face! Damnit, that crumple up the receipt and throw it over your shoulder is just soo anti climactic.

They better send them the "S" controller, as no one in their right mind is going to spend $40 bucks on it. I want one, but refuse to pay for something that should of been with the system from the start.  

I have to say, for the first time I do feel sort of ripped off by a price drop. I mean, I usually accept that these things happen. I mean, if you are an early adopter, you are going to pay the top price for an item. Still, its depressing when you pay top price and five-six months later it has went down a hundred dollars.

Weeeell, if you bought your PS2 at Circuit City they\'ll refund 110% of the price difference if there is a price drop within a month.  So if you paid $299 for it less than 30 days ago you can now go back and collect 110 simolians.

WHAT!!! CC yes; but BB? Hell no. BB is the greatest store ever. They are non-commisioned so they care about getting the consumer the best deal.

I work at circuit city, and trust me, we dont rip off our customers to make more money. I make enough without alienating potential future return customers by selling them stuff they dont need.

Best Buy is the WORST store ever.  Sorry to say that Gohan I know you work there and all but you\'ll come to realize sooner or later.  Especially when:

1) You figure out BB charges everything at retail on...
2) All they sell is low-end equipment
3) The avg employee knows absolutely zilch about the products they sell as there\'s no incentive to educate themselves
4) Customer: "No thanks, I don\'t want an extended service plan."

5) Here\'s a great idea, let\'s have 7 people work the cash registers and only one rookie who doesn\'t know how the register works handle the returns.  It will make the return line so long and time-consuming that people will think twice about returning.  And the rest of the 120-some workers can walk arround doing nothing while talking to each other.
