Battlefield 1942, 8 New Screens!!

Ok, those screens look like a big improvement from last time i criticized the game. BUT, it doesn\'t go without saying, it still looks like it can be better. AA would go a long way, and some of the textures really are bleh :vader:
You think positive, I\'ll think realistic.

The planes look great! Other than that, I\'m not impressed in the slightest. Whoever\'s making this game could do a LOT better with the Xbox\'s hardware. You\'d think that with such low polygon characters that they could afford to put more soldiers on the beach and fighting in the trenches. Maybe they\'ll impress if you have a ton of them onscreen at the same time.. but if the final build looks like this then I can easily scratch another potential game purchase off my list.

Well.. unless it has top notch gameplay, which I\'m assumeing from the slack job on the graphics that it dosen\'t.
Please Bleed.. so I know that you are real.

Thoise 2nd sets of pics have somehow improved from the top. This game looks like crap and PStwo sounds like the only one here who is excited for the game. I would take MOH over this game any day, but hey if its your opinion that  you cant wait for that game theres nothing I can do about it so have fun.

  Here\'s some cool info of the game.

In Battlefield 1942, you will experience the heat of battle as you heroically storm the beaches of Normandy, drive a tank across the deserts of northern Africa, pilot a fighter plane during the Battle of Midway, command a battleship at Guadalcanal, or parachute and commandeer a jeep in operation Market Garden. It is the only first person, team-based action game that places you in the midst of a raging WWII battlefield with 35 "machines of war" under your control. You’ll pick up the sidearm of your choice and get behind the wheel of a variety of vehicles, ships, and aircraft to go to war on land, sea, and air during some of the most famous and pivotal battles of the Second World War.

Key Features
· Machines of War. Get behind the controls of 35 historically accurate WWII vehicles and fight a raging battle on land, sea, or air! Charge across the desert in a powerful tank or transport troops into battle in an armored APC. Pilot a heavy bomber over the drop zone or engage in a nail-biting dogfight. Fire the guns of a mighty battleship or prowl the sea-lanes in a submarine. The outcome of the battle depends upon the choices you make.

· Choose Your Side. Enter the war as a soldier in one of five WWII armies: American, German, British, Russian, or Japanese.

· Specialized Character Kits. Enter the fray as one of five specialized character classes -- assault, medic, scout, anti-tank, or engineer -- each with unique strengths and weaknesses.

· Arm Yourself for Action! Choose from 19 authentic WWII handheld weapons, including two stationary machine guns, to take into battle.

· A Global Conflict. Engage in battle across 16 huge maps, based in great detail upon the four main WWII theaters of war: North Africa, South Asia Pacific, Western Europe and Eastern Europe.

· Unlimited Action.Three multiplayer modes -- Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Conquest -- as well as a robust single player experience.

Now Battlefield 1942 has won another award. The Gaming Radio XGR has given away the award "Best Off-The-Floor Showing at E3" and XGR had to say following:

This game from EA and Digital Illusions is the ultimate in World War II online games. That is not hype. That is not an over statement. In this game, and I am sure there are going to be additions and expansions, you can do all of the following - fly a plane (and ride gunner), drive an assortment of vehicles (everything from a tank to a jeep) from a number of positions, and drive boats and land craft. That\'s on top of doing battle in the incrediblely detailed environment - when you are riding gunner and the plane takes off from the aircraft carrier it\'s just too sweet.

ok soo its a ONLine game..by the looks of things a MMOFPS

So the Big Question is

How the hell is Microflops going to Fill the Severs ?

i mean X box owners are a little short these days..and i hazard a guess that the online type will be even less ESP when not everyone has BB.

so i guess that these battles will more be like one on one battles
