That way you are close to the greatest city in the states..(ALWAYS something to do in Chicago 24 hours a day) The benefit of living in the burbs of the city is lower crime rate..cost of living is cheaper than in the city itself.plus the suburban departments pay pretty well, not sure how it compares to the CPD though, but at least you don\'t have to worry about your life as much
