what is in the package? aside from what we already know is in it.... on TechTV they showed some sort of portbale Network cable thingie (like a retractable ruler)............I\'ll be gettng mine tomorrow at aorund 12 or 12:30 EST during my lunch break (I have to take an hour just in case I dont get back in 30 mins (I doubt I can make it up and back in 30 mins)

*Sigh* I gotta wait till tommorow to :( At least I have mine all paid for, just have to pick it up tommorow.

They say it\'s $40 US, but in canada the damn thing came out to $75 after taxes. Socom\'s gonna be like $90+taxes in canadian funds:(

yeah, I guess they sent less then expected.  I would be pissed off If I reserved one and didnt get it anyway

Just picked mine up about an hour ago.  I didn\'t have a preorder and I picked up SOCOM without a pre order also at Gamestop.  It seems I got the next to last adapter.  The guy at Gamestop told me that the next shipment of adapters is scheduled for 9/13 so once this shipment is out its over a 2 week wait for more.

I just bought mine at Best Buy.

The packaging looks exactly like their extra controllers so I almost didn\'t see it.

None of the stores around it my area had them, not best buy or circuit city, supposedly they wont get them for two weeks, cuz they are too small, theres a kb in the mall near where i live that said they should get them tomorrow, i told em to hold one for me, and they said they would so looks like i\'ll be getting it tomorrow.

Haven\'t been able to pick mine up... can\'t afford a game and the network adapter right now... gotta get more case.

I went to my EB to pick up my pre-order of Socom and the network adapter. Then they said to me that the shipment didnt fully come in and that they would call me when they get it. They expect to get it in by monday so at least its not a while but i stil have to wait....

I just called this local gaming store called Rhino games, and They didnt even get their shipment in today. They were expecting it, but it just didnt come in.  What the hell is their problem.  Every time some new hardware comes in, they never have enough sent out.  im pretty sure that they do that on purpose.  So Im hoping to get mine tomorrow, but just in case, I put a deposite down on the second wave at EB  I really hope I get it before Sept 16th though.  I dont think that I can wait that long.

I was thinking of calling best buy and everyone else that might have it then when i get one in my hands i tell EB to take me off the pre-order list. Anyone think it would send a confusion through EB to take me off the list?

Probably not.  they know that pretty much ever PS2 owner is looking to buy right now.  Im sure that most of us are a little impatiant.  I know I am.  I aske the guy at EB If I found one somewhere else if I could use the 5 bucks on someting else and he was like, "everyone has asked that"  so Im sure that they are expecting that to happen.  But then again, it doesnt seem that many other people actually have the friggin thing.

Did you put money down on it?  They won\'t care.  They will be able to sell that thing whether you buy it or not.  I say go to BB.
