Star Fox Adventures impressions.

I have very little play time into this since I am knee deep in Animal Crossing, and Castlevania, but I booted it up for a couple of hours today, and WOW on the graphics. This game is beautiful. I was walking through a corridor, and noticed that the grass was waving in the wind. Not just the big blades of grass, but also the stuff below the ankles. The water rivals Mario, and I may prefer it even more. The small touches like bubbles when he bobs under the water.

Now for what I did not care for. IMHO I am not a fan of the puzzles. I found myself just walking around way too much. I tend to get lost as to what I am suppose to do. The graphics carry alot of weight though. I think this game is more beutiful than RE remake at this point. I don\'t care to get into pre-renders, etc..... Bottom line it keeps up even with the pre-renders.

I saw the game also, when he booted it up and while I cannot comment on the gameplay aspects, I will say that it features some of if not the best graphics ever. Let\'s just say, when you see Fox Mcloud standing and sparkles of lighting coming down his body, as the grass sways beneath his feet, you\'ll truly be amazed.
Gorgeous game. I just need to get in some playtime now.

Easily one of my most wanted games for the NGC. (Which I\'ll have soon since I got a job today - yay!) I\'m glad to hear that there some puzzle aspects.. and enough of which to turn some gamers off. That\'s usually a good sign for me. :)

StarFox Adventures belongs to my list of Must-Buy titles - however, as I am a poor student whom bought a game a mere week ago, I will not have enough money to buy it at the moment.

Story/Presentation: Good. Me = not spoiling anything.

Sound/Music: Excellent. Great music, and very good sound effects. Rare did a bang-up job here. The voices of supporting characters aren\'t quite top-notch, though. I was hoping to hear Peppy\'s voice from SF64, but alas..

Graphics/Animation: The graphics are, as Capcom and LiC said.. quite jaw-dropping at times. My only qualm is the framerate, which is 60fps most of the time but has slight drops. Animation = fantastic. Everything is so smooth.

Gameplay: So-so. I mean, it\'s like Zelda and all.. but not quite as addictive. The combat is simplistic yet fun, at first.. (think Eternal Darkness but with slightly more variety) but far too easy. This game is very easy altogether.

The enemies don\'t even attack simultaneously! They take turns, unlike in Zelda 64. You kill one guy very easily, then the other guy attacks.. and so on and so forth. I still feel intrigued to play, at least.. it\'s not that bad.

My score so far = 8.5. This game isn\'t pulling me right in like Mario and AC did.. although it\'s still quite fun.

Well, I\'ve got my own copy as of now, but I won\'t get any time to play it. I plan on defeating CastleVania first and I have to return to work for at least four days tommorw - which puts a damper on my gaming time. Hopefully I\'ll get some play time in next week.
