I have an Nvida Geforce 4 440mx right now.  Seems to work pretty well, but I have been considering a new one.

Whats the best bang for the buck right now, what model / brand?

if you want the BEST it is the Radeon 9700 PRO, it is 400 bucks (I just got one......I have read many places that it will beat the new Geforce card coming out.

I\'d second the 9700 Pro as the best card out there... but as for best bang for the buck... I\'d prolly say a Geforce 4 Ti 4200 (or 4400) that can be easily overclocked.

It\'s usually done with a piece of tweak software. And basically you increase the RAMDAC and memory speed.

yep, and if your not careful.. Good things can fry.  But these days they design good cards so u can overclock them without to many problems.. your more likely to crash your comp before the card gets hot enough to fry.

Best bang for the buck is the Radeon8500 they\'re dirt cheap right now. The Ti4200 isn\'t far off either but not as cheap
