Sony has acquired the publishing rights for a new supercar racing game in development for the PlayStation 2 by upstart Korean developer Axis Entertainment. The game, which is currently untitled, is reportedly scheduled for release early next year. According to company representatives, the game will feature a variety of licensed vehicles and tracks based on actual locations. Axis Entertainment is a relative newcomer to the console industry, founded in July 1999. Sony is said to be negotiating publishing rights for the game outside Korea, although specific release dates remain undisclosed.
