Board Feature/Options Uniformity
« on: September 30, 2002, 06:04:26 PM »
Some forums I can see my post count, and others not, some forums I see ladder names listed and others not (didn\'t actually check this one but remember thinking it was so) and some forums have no "Speed-ply" text area at the bottom of a thread in case you want to just stuff in a quickie response (SOCOM Forum for one).  It would be nice if all these features and options were uniformly granted throughout the entire forums.

Also, having to click on "PSX2 Central Forums" or the "PSX2 Central Online Gaming Topics" to see those online forums is weird and probably a waste of bandwidth, since I wouldn\'t be forced to make that extra click to see if there was activity if you could see it all when you load up at the front of the forums.

Thanks for listening.

Which style set are you using?  Are you using the test one?  Because everything seems the same to me.......

I am using Default

No Post Count

Main Forum
Off Topic
Console Discussion
Hints, Cheats and Questions
PC Hardware/Software Forum
Suggestions
The Central Journals

This is basically all the non Online Gaming forums

No Ladder Name

General Online Discussion
Madden 2003
SOCOM U.S. Navy Seals
Twisted Metal: Black-Online

So, you can\'t see someone\'s Ladder name in the Online Gaming Forums, which doesn\'t make sense to me.

No Speed Reply Function

General Online Discussion
Madden 2003
SOCOM U.S. Navy Seals
Twisted Metal: Black-Online

As you can see, there are variances between the "Main Page" forums and the Online Subset.  My suggestion is to make them all uniform, showing the Ladder Name, Post Count and allowing the Speed Reply function in them all.

We should really add the profile button on the bottom. What happens if someone has no avatar?

Don\'t use default.  That\'s the prob.  mm probably should make the test the default now since it\'s worked for quite a while.

but if you stopped saying "I SWEAR NOONE READS MY POSTS!"  No one would pay attention to you, ever again.
