More help with Nero
« on: October 27, 2002, 10:17:37 PM »
Ok, when i click "Write to CD" from the File Menu a screen pops up and only lets me select "Burn" as an option.  "Test" and "test and Burn" are greyed out.  So I just have "Burn" selected and try to burn, but most of the time there are errors.  Any way to remedy this?

What version do you have?
When I do the same thing (vers.5.5.9.9) I have the options simulation, burn and finalize CD. Nothing greyed out.

Edit: Just saw your version in the other thread.
Maybe you should try the 5.5.9.9

I just checked the nero website and the 55914 that you have is indeed the latest version. I don`t know why it reads 5599 in my copy. It must be the 55914 too that I have, so I can`t give you more help.

The software company is only 20 km`s away from my home though, so I could get there and punish them if you wish :D

Test and burn is greyed out on mine also. The best way to avoid errors is to burn the disc at the lowest possible speed. I do mine at 8x and don\'t have a problem. Also don\'t burn directly from one disc to another, copy the source disk to the hardisk first then burn from hardisk to blank cd. You should be able to do this within nero.

Yeah sure, sure we all know most people in here with copies of Photoshop did not pay full price or even pay for it. I\'m betting that quite a few people here have not paid for the software which they use.

It\'s ok, I know people will deny it in order to maintain there integrity, yet statistically the numbers are on my side.

ONE WORD people KAZAA!!!!!!!

oh do not get Kazaa full(it;s full of spyware etc..) get the lite version.

Oh one more thing if any of you ever used napster, you have no say in this matter, cause weather you steal music or software, stealing is stealing(and we all know how many people one time or another used napster, hec user base was over 250 million)

This might be a shock to you people but 80% of my computer software, I legally bought. It\'s the other 20%, like take nero for instance, I bought the original 4.2  but in no way was I going to buy another copy with only a few upgrades, that\'s me and atleast i\'m honest about it.
