Moji-Ribbon? If I remember correctly...
Okay, I dug out EDGE115 to shine some light on you people.
It\'s
Mojibribon. Kewl, eh? It\'s about the art of traditional japanesecalligraphy. There\'s no audio CD\'s involved this time around; the only form of input is text, japanese text. The program responds to the text in a "rap" pattern and as you advance, the game adds backgrounds and music.
The game plays as follows; you traverse coruscating ink clouds and paint pieces of text for the synthesizer to process. You only need to use the left analoqgue stick; when you reach a certain mark, you can begin to string text together. The more you push on the stick, the more ink you use (the thicker the lines)...
etcetc...
This I found interesting in the EDGE article... : "The online option wasn\'t an afterthought for NanaOn-Sha, but the driving principle behind the vision. The goal was to offer users a system to they can exchange emails. The text sent would become a stage the receiver would have to clear to be able to read the message." Quirky.
Anybody wanna bet on a western release?
