Bee Gee\'s Star Maurice Gibb Dead at 53

 Maurice Gibb, bass guitarist and keyboard player for the Bee Gee\'s has died at the Mount Sinai Medical Centre after suffering a heart attack during surgery to remove an intestinal blockage.  
 Gibb\'s family released the statement announcing his death saying; "It is with great sadness and sorrow that we regretfully announce the passing of Maurice Gibb this morning".  
 Maurice, twin brother Robin, and older brother Barry all began their careers in the 50\'s, adopting the Bee Gee\'s name from an earlier version dubbed the Brothers Gibb. Some of their hits included Saturday Night Fever and Stayin\' Alive.

They were born in the UK, but emigrated as young children to Australia for a few years.
