i also really really love the contra series and i am wondering if the new one on ps2 is good ? im really looking for an old style game here ( 2 player : me and my brother used to love playing contra togetter )

I have it just because I am a Contra whore. It took me a month to beat the first level so if you dont like games that frustrate you to the point of temporary insanity then maybe its not for you...

well... i think its olnly hard becuase they give you a rediculoulsy low amount of lives.... otherwise its a lot of fun.

guess what !!! i went to EB to exchange 2 games ( medal of honor frontline and soul reaver 2 ) , they would only give me 30 $ for medal of honor and 10 bucks for soul reaver , and i was a bit sad that Contra was 79.99 $ ( Canadien ) , but then the guy told me that they had a deal and that when you bring 2 games , ou can have any game for 9.99 $ , so i got contra for 11$ with taxes !

so cool !

ok ..... this is pissing me WAY off !!! every single game works with my ps2 exept my brand new Contra ! it can\'t read it for some stupid reason ! Even my blue disk Virtual Fighter 4 works ! so whats up with that ???? any suggestion ?

EB allows you to bring the disc back in and exchange it for another of the same game if it doesnt work, try that. At least we can do exchanges at my local EB.

i went back to EB and the exchanged it , but now im waithing for my brothers girlfriend to leave me ps2 alone so i can test it , and ofcourse she does not want to ! she has too much fun playing my games on my ps2 !

so i got to wait !! anyway if this still does not work can i just returne the game and get refunded ? or take an other game ?

At my EB you can only exchange a game once the case has been opened. We had alot of people playing the game until they beat and then bringing it in for a refund. I hate people who abuse the system! Anyways ask for the store policy at your local EB some differ from others.

ok ........ still does not work .. you guys find this weird but when i put virtual fighter 4 ( wich is also a blue disk ) i can feel the ps2 starting to spin the cd to find it , but with contra it never spins it , it sounds like it can\'t even grap it !

ACUTALY I PUT SOME SCOTCH TAPE ON THE CD LIKE IN THIS IMAGE ! EXACTLY LIKE THAT IMAGE !

Its called the tape methode ! well it does not work unless i put vertical and even then it work 1 out of 3 times ! all well ... still very happy
