I\'d tell them to blow my pipe. I would\'nt have my parents tell me what to do, I remember them tryin to tell me what to do and stop wasting my life, and look at me now.. oh wait, bad example. But you got to do what you want, tell them to **** off and tell them to stop trying to re live their youth threw you.

Thank God my parents are easy-going, open-minded human beings. Especially my mother. The decision to become an actor might not have impressed every parent out there - but mine encouraged me to pursue the dream I have. To lead my own, personal life.

Yet I do have some stupid friends I don\'t like that much. Every time I "skip" school ( when I\'m dead tired and know that I just won\'t succeed in studying that day ), they call me up and ask why I am not in school. When I give them my honest explanation, they call me lazy. Perhaps it is laziness - but being tired is never a consequence of laziness. Not in my life, at least.

For example, I decided to skip school today. Why? I have had two looong and exhausting days. I didn\'t sleep well. I woke up this morning feeling like stiff shit on a broken toilet. I knew I had to sleep in order to secure the rest of the week, and so I did. Not long before a \'friend\' of mine called and asked why I wasn\'t in class. I told him the reason - that I had had two musical showings on both Monday and Tuesday and that I was dead tired due to them - and he just laughed, called me lazy and shut the phone. I was so pissed that it was very easy to stay home.

My mother understood and accepted my decision. My father doesn\'t know - and doesn\'t have to, either. While he is forgiving and kind, he wouldn\'t understand skipping school due to head-ache. And I do have a head-ache.

When I used to go to school I hardly ever went, if I wanted to stay off, I did. Teachers used to just laugh when I gave them notes saying why I wasn\'t there, in the end I just told them the truth, I got pissed and couldn\'t move, didn\'t feel like it etc etc.

thats totally bs, just do what ever you want to do, dont listen to him... if he has a prob with it, then tell him to kiss your ass, this is messed up, my parents would never pressure me to take up a certain sport, let alone my uncle

Deja vu!  Same here Chizzy.  I hated my "military" father when I was a teenager as I considered him overbearing, which he was.  I went away to boarding school in MA and grew dreadlocks and skated.  Now I am completely opposite and have a decent relationship with my dad as well.

I don\'t skip school often - but I can manage through the studies even if I am not present every day. I wouldn\'t call myself \'lazy\', though, for if I skip school, that is probably due to the fact that I am either tired or pissed at someone / something.

Thanks guys, I talked to him again last night.

He was pissed as hell when I told him to leave me alone. Then I gave the phone to my mom, and she is slightly angry at me. I may just run away  But I am seriously getting sick of this crap. Its just tiring having him call, and call, and call and call just making me feel worse than how I already feel.

My mom is over protective of me so I don\'t tell her shit. I don\'t tell her when I get into a fight or anything. She nearly jumped through the roof when I told her I was going to play lacrosse. Actually, I didn\'t tell her at first but when I did, she didn\'t want me too. Everytime I get bruised or hurt, I hear it from her. I\'m sick of that shit. She also wants me to be this bookworm that I\'m clearly not. I want to live the way I want to live and chose the career I want to do, which is to be in the military. She\'s trying to get me to do something not in a combat area which isn\'t me at all. But I just ignore it and just keep my mouth shut about certain things.
