Anyone interested in Zelda\'s timeline?
« on: February 26, 2003, 07:23:29 PM »
It\'s messed up but makes complete sense.  Here\'s an article I found, before reading it was a mystery as to how the games were connected.
\"In the last 12 months 100,000 private sector jobs have been lost and yet you\'ve created 30,000 public sector jobs. Prime Minister, you cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecidented engorgement of the unproductive bit. You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt.\" - Daniel Hannan

That article was amazingly short. ;)

I don\'t follow the Zelda games...I play them but have lost interest in the timeline as they\'ve jumped around a bit too much to make sense...or matter any more.

Quote

Chapter 1: Pre-Ocarina of Time
- Zelda I

Chapter 2: Ocarina of Time (OOT)
Chapter 3: Majora\'s Mask (MM)
- Link I
- Zelda II

Chapter 4: Link to the Past (LTTP)
Chapter 5: Oracle of Seasons / Oracle of Ages (OOS/OOA)
Chapter 6: Link\'s Awakening (LA)
- Link II
- Zelda III

Chapter 7: Legend of Zelda (LOZ)
Chapter 8: Adventure of Link (AOL)
- Link III
- Zelda IV (Zelda I)

I\'m confused even looking at that...I never did play the original Zelda or the sequel on Nintendo.  I didn\'t pick it up until A Link to the Past...and I partly played one of the Gameboy Zelda\'s.

Where does Wind Waker fit in?

Actually...

[sp]Wind Waker is pretty much a direct sequal to OoT/MM. Its set 100 years after Oot took place. That\'s all I\'ll say. [/sp]
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

I\'d assume that TWW = after OOT/MM, but before LTTP.

The first two Zelda games are likely at the very end of the timeline.

Nintendo\'s structure of Zelda is so odd, but it makes complete sense... they just keep going foward and back through time.

V2.0 of that article will be going up in mid-late April, and will incorporate Wind Waker\'s story.
