OK, so what is up with this event? Why do people do it? It looks so retarded. What\'s the object? TO touch a bull while running? Do the bulls get killed when they get into the arena? Do people pay to run with them or do they just get in the street and run? How far away do you live from this?
Well, this runnings have a special goal: to bring the bulls to the arena. Bulls are grown up in the countryside, far away from cities. When they arrive to the cities, they use to be "parked" in some small courtyard next to the arena. In this special case of Pamplona, that courtyard is about 1 km away from the arena, so the bull may be driven until there before the starting of the "spectacle", and the easiest and funniest way in a sense in throughout the streets.
I may also say that it\'s absolutely PROHIBITED to touch the bulls while the running. If you do so, you will be fined and even been under arrest. It\'s dangerous to touch \'em, so in order to avoid more risks, it\'s banned.
Yes, of course, the bulls are killed in the arena. I\'m not in favour of this kinda spectacle. I know it\'s ancient as hell, but I don\'t really like it. Indeed, the main goal of the bull fights is to kill the bull, with some "art".
No, you don\'t pay to run. All you need is a good pair of sneakers and good health status to run as "a bull". Pamplona is in the north. However I live in the south... it\'s about 800kms away from here.
If you need more info, simply ask.
