Enter the Matrix: Sneak preview
« on: May 12, 2003, 05:09:58 PM »
I\'m playing ETM last night using the Ghost character.......i managed to pull off all the bullet time effect stunt like wheel somersault to avoid bullets, run up the wall and flip back,  slow-mo mid air kick to to hit multiple enemies in one kick and jump on walls/tables before doing a 90 degree flip kick!!!!!

Honestly, the graphics isn\'t a lot to yell about, a lot of the environment texture is pretty bland and there is some slow-down in certain areas, but doesn\'t affect gameplay that much.

However, the character model is quite well done. the animation during gameplay sequence are above-average, good at times, but not so hot at certain times(like when u try to climb the ceiling..the animation seems to have some weird problems).

however, in focus mode(aka bullet time effect), the animation are superb and u can really pull those stunts seen in the Matrix.

I can\'t say for the gameplay, so far it\'s okay, but I\'m not sure whether it\'ll get repetative later or not.

The sound fx in this game is superb, with a good HT system and woofer, you can listen to some heavy bass thumping and swooshing during the fight scene, which is why i prefer to bare fist fight unless i\'m really outnumbered before using a gun. The music is pretty good too, Matrix styled and set the mood when action heats up.

So far, i\'ll say it\'s at least worth a look, and it\'s probably one of the better movies to game license around...we all know how movie to games license sucks usually.
