Must...kill...Namco & Nintendo..(Star Fox related)
« on: May 14, 2003, 05:35:07 PM »
Alright - who has watched the new Star Fox video? And to those who did, did anyone see anything wrong with it?

Maybe the FPS fighting? I found that abit disgusting...Maybe the graphics? Underwhelming..It looked like the R-Wing levels took a backseat to the FPS levels.

Am I the only one tired of Nintendo handing out franchises like Metriod and now Star Fox out? And why must they both be turned into FPS shooters?

I\'m telling you, this Star Fox game looked like Star Fox: Adventure, minus the gorgeous graphics and  adding a FPS mode.

Downright disgusting and dissapointing..

First person shooters are hot. I mean look what that perspective did for Metroid.

Metroid rocked, plain and simple.

I thought Starfox was above average for an adventure game.  I have not watched this new E3 trailer because I\'m not interested in shooters, but FPS is another story.

I\'ll be sure to take a look and give it some sort of diagnosis...later though.  I\'m at home on 56k:(

We won\'t get into the Metroid argument.

This trailer was dissapointing. It was hyped to be a true Starfox sequel, but it turns out it is goin\' to be a hodge-podge of genre\'s by Namco.

Yes, because you would lose in it.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

well i gotta say why not make another title of star fox thats stays true to the roots

and thats the fact that star fox has nothing to do with ground battles - its all about space and flight sim

why is that taking a back seat - damn it i agree with l i c on this one
