Care to elaborate as to why you disagree?  (I\'m assuming it was sarcasm due to the roll eyes smiley)

I think he\'s definately in the top 5 musical artists in the industry today..

I knew that would get a response. I guess it\'s just a matter of taste. I just don\'t care for his music. Hey Bob\'s_H, whom would you pick as the top 5 artists of today?
I\'m just not into gloom and doom.

As artists..

Just quickly off the top of my head (no particular order)..

 - Marilyn Manson
 - Opeth
 - Radiohead
 - Tool
 - Moby

Listed the whole bands, rater than just the individuals, as they all contibute. :)

Also, Although I don\'t particularly care to listen to Moby\'s music, he\'s an extremely talented man.

:)

I\'ve been listening to Manson since the days of Daisy and the gang (Portait of An American Family, etc) and at one time Manson was a driving force for the music industry and the whole band was pretty talented. However, after Anti-christ Superstar (The Band\'s pinnacle), the band has slowly fell apart. Twiggy has left, Daisy\'s been gone and Zim-Zum left. And Manson\'s lyrics have gone stale and there is no one really left to take what lyrics he does have and turn them into the rebel songs that the band was once known for.

My point? Manson, himself has talented, but tthe band lacks talent severely. He is no longer a driving force and is getting closer and closer to the point of where no one cares.

Well the reason no one cares is because of that exactly.

I think Holywood is his second best album of all time. It captures alot of emotions on America\'s disgust.

Sure he isnt as good as the old days- but when no one starts to care, the band doesnt either. Im sticking a fan until the day they break apart- which I hope isnt soon.

One thing though:

On the cover of Mechanical Animals- are those breasts computerized, or did he actually have breast implants. I keep finding misleading information on it.

A lot of rumors about him and the removing of the ribs go around and make a bad name and shun him from alot of radio, television, and commercial music industries.

Let\'s not be ignorant. Manson did not have ribs taken out and those are not real implanted breasts. Use common sense. Not to mention Manson has always said he didn\'t and if you read his book - you would know that.
;)

Holywood his second best album? You\'re on crack. Most those songs was passable at best and the same applies to Mechinal Animals. I would say \'The Golden Age...\' is a step in the right direction, but it is alittle to late.

This review says it all.

Blah, Holywood was disappointing.  Decent, but no where near their other albumns.

I\'m still surprised you like so few songs on the albumn though, Licky.  Took me a few listens, but I actually prefer the second half of the albumn now.

Para-noir is also my favorite on the albumn now.  :)  Love singing along to it (people think I\'m odd...)!

That is one of the best songs. It is an obvious song to Rose Mcgowan , Manson\'s long time lover.

I\'d say it is one of the highlights of the cd that and \'Use your fists and not your mouth\'.

Though I admit, after more listens, it is growing slowyl on me and my opinion is slowly changing. . No matter, I agree a hundred percent that it is a step in the right direction, where as HolyWood was a step backwards.

Youve never heard of opinions have you?

Damn- you cant prove that one is better than the other, its all on how they like it. Its like saying green is better than blue. Its not- and cant be proven.

Its called a preference.

I can\'t think of any notable tracks of Holywood and nor can reviewers / critics.
I understand you have your opinion, but I\'m speaking in terms of sales and overall acceptance. HolyWood was disregarded in both manners, where as \'The Golden Age..\' seems to have won over old fans and critics alike. Not sure how sales are doin\' tho\'.
