Viewitful Joe - Anyone played the demo?

Alright...I recently got to play the demo of Viewtiful Joe... Let me say this, the game may look odd and it is odd, trust me, it\'s odd, but it may also be one of the coolest games to come around in awhile.

First off, graphic wise, it is extremely odd. Cel-shaded, deformed anime. That\'s the best way to describe it.. But, that\'s the icing on the cake. Wait until you get your super suit and you start goin\' all Matrix on the enmies.

Yes, I said Matrix..You can pull off the coolest of combo\'s and in the middle of it, hit the \'L\' button and your character goes in a slow motion. It will remind you of the Matrix, down to when you double jump, slow down and then dodge bullets that leave trails around you.  If that doesn\'t suit you, hit the \'R\' buttont and you go in hyper mode, where you are goin\' so fast that you leave trails of yourself, while you hit the enemies.

Let\'s just say, I\'m beyond impressed.

On another note: There was also a demo of Soul Calibur 2...It looked good - not much better than the DC though. Played perfect, \'ceptf or one thing..The NGC controller is not made for fighters.

I have the demo disc. I thought Viewtiful Joe was cool. It seems like a combination of cheesy 70\'s anime, and the Matrix.

I actually was surprised by how well Soul Caliber 2 played on the cubes controller. Granted, I\'d still prefer a normal controller, but I thought the game would be completely unplayable on that controller.

VJ looks like it is going to be a great game, hope to pick it up. Billy Hatcher looks like it will be good with some polish. I was disappointed with SADX and SC, though. Looks like they didn\'t fix many of the problems with the DC SA and SC doesn\'t look very good compared to the XBox or PC versions. I was never a fan of Soul Calibur, so I won\'t put a judgement on SC2, looks like more of the same to me.

VJ sounds pretty interesting. It makes me think of Jo Jo\'s Bizzare Adventure which i waited oh so paciently to come out and never saw.

I\'ve seen lots of movies of this game and it really impressed me. I\'ll probably get it.
