Building the perfect shooter list

My list of shooting games is fast becoming formidable.  This is definitely my favorite genre now and I’m now completely obsessed with owning all of the best shooters out there.  There are a few that I am considering:

1. Dead To Rights (http://www.deadtorights.com/) ~ this has been re-released for about 20 bucks as a “classic” of shooters and is often compared to Max Payne.  It also just came out on PC, so I\'m curious to see how it compares to the Xbox version.
2. Half-Life (http://half-life.sierra.com/) ~ I\'m already excited about HL2 just from reading about it.. But I never played the original on console or PC.
3. True Crime (http://www.activision.com/microsite/truecrime/) ~ now that it\'s out I\'ve heard mostly disappointing opinions.  Hope it\'s not as bad as what I\'ve seen people say so far.

So those are a few of the ones I’m looking at right now.  Any feedback would be cool.  Also, I have listed below all the shooters I already own and others I plan to get.

First things first, lemme say that you need to try Half-Life. It\'s far less impressive now than it was 5 years ago (man, it\'s been that long?) but still a masterpiece in many areas. Great level design and storyline. Now, a FYI: A lot of the games you listed as "shooters" do contain shooting but do not necessarily belong to the plain Jane "Shooter" genre.

What about S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? You ain\'t interested in that one?

Hell yeah, I want S.T.A.L.K.E.R.  Thanks for reminding me ~ I\'m adding it to my list.

Ginko ~ Kill Switch is pretty cool.  It\'s addictive, because it\'s a different type of gameplay than what you\'d normally find.  It\'s all about using blind cover fire tactics.  You can\'t really fire from out in the open like the typical shooter.  You have to fire from behind something most of the time and if you don\'t strategize who to kill first, you won\'t make it.  It\'s not as realistic-looking as other shooters, but the graphics are clean and the gameplay is, like I said, quite addictive.

Blade ~ yes, I will definitely get Half-Life.  Actually, I did play it a looong time ago on PS2, and I remember liking the gameplay, but thinking that the graphics were a bit outdated.  I thought maybe the PC version would be a bit better.  Yes, I know that some titles I\'ve listed aren\'t technically "shooters" but for the purpose of this conversation, I consider any game in 1st or 3rd person where your character has a projectile weapon to be a "shooter".

So nobody\'s tried True Crime or Dead To Rights yet?  From what I\'ve seen, DTR looks pretty sweet.  I\'ve heard some negative things about True Crime though.

Serious Sam 2. The only shooter FPS i actually have interest to play and complete since Doom 2.

Certainly sounds worth a rent.  Unfortunately I don\'t have much of a patience when it comes to shooters so I doubt I\'ll enjoy it.
