Car question
« on: September 25, 2003, 08:53:17 PM »
i just got my license and im just looking for a car.

I have to get a Chevy and i dont know that many cars made by them that i could get as a first car (my dad can get car parts for chevys cuz he works for them). The only one i really know about is the Prizm which my dad says is a good car, and it looked good, but on some websites they said it wasnt as good as i had expected. Anyone (videoholic) know if the Prizm is a good car?

so, um, whats a good chevy car that is between 2,000 and 7,000 dollars..would be a used car. Sry if nothing made sense..i know nothing about cars

i know nothing about cars

They have 4 wheels, an engine, gas/brake pedals, and a steering wheel.

Thats all that a car needs- and a CD player.
Think for yourself. Question authority.

Prism is a good first timer\'s car. It\'s reliable and easy to maintain. Also, being a newbie, you don\'t want a car that goes too fast.

Aren\'t Prisms really a Toyota Corolla inside?

I\'m not fond of American cars... Has to be Japanese or German for me. But yeah... if I had to though, I\'d get an Impala. :)

Yea, Prisms are really Toyota Corollas..The older model ones looked the same, I don\'t know about new Prisms, cuz I haven\'t seen any.

As a first car, it would be fine. Personally I would get a bigger car though.  First of all they are safer, but secondly it\'s easier to get in and out of when you and your buddies are tooling around.

A prism? LOL:laughing:
I am so sorry and i hate to rain on your parade but IMO thats almost as bad as getting a tracker (older version). For that range there are way way better cars that you can afford and maintain, especially because your dad can get cheap parts.

As a teenager (I assume you are) get a four door :) Especially if you have friends with no car.

yea, im 16. My parents wanted me to get a blazer (mainly for saftey), but i honestly dont want an SUV. Prizms are 4 door but i heard the back is pretty small. Was trying to look for a list of chevys but they were all cars that people buy when they actually have money.
