Problems loading EA sports games

Recently my playstation took some slight impact to the front of the console. Once this occured, the disc tray would not fully eject or retract. After disassembling the console and realigning the tracks that work the disc tray, the console worked fine. It will now play DVDs and every game that i have with the exception of Madden 2004 and NCAA College Football 2004. These two games will come up with the loading screen, however it does not load the games. I have the (EA) MVP baseball 2003 and that game loads without problem. I thought that the problem was in the disc, but both games work in my friends ps2.

I am an not an expert with electronics, but am by no means an amatuer. I have a soldering gun, flux and all the stuff required to perform \'surgery\' to just about any aspect of the console. I have tried cleaning the laser, removing dust from connectors and even adjusting the angle of the laser. Again, DVDs and games work in the console, just not my football. Please help as football is life!!!
