In case you lived under a rock, large IT companies have been moving jobs out of the US and into India.

I am looking forward to the day when I can call tech support, and understand what they are saying.

Haha, I called Dell 2 seperate times about my uncle\'s laptop and was transferred, put on hold, and asked to repeat what I said COUNTLESS times.  It was a joke.

Only good thing about it was Tunak Tunak when I was on hold.

It\'s not just Dell, many high street bank\'s in the UK are now doing this.

Uh that doesn\'t effect us consumers... the help centers that were redirected were those that were for businesses.  Dell\'s consumer business is only like 15 percent so we will still be talking punjab when we need help.

could be.  IBM has done the  \'foreign outsourcing\' thing as well.  Be glad when this fad is over with.

It\'s the same here, Telstra use Indonesian people.. Nice and cheap. Big companies suck.

The worst part is there\'s no negotiation.  It\'s not like a pack of foreigners say "we\'ll do it for $x" and you compromise and say "we\'ll do it for $x -1".  No, one day your corp gets sold/bought out and new management says "surprise we\'ve replaced you with 2 Indians that work 24x7".
