When\'s the next one coming out?  Seems like it\'s about time.  Rockstar\'s website didn\'t shed any light.

Feel free to post a link if this has already been discussed.

I heard a rumour that they had one lined up, set in 70\'s San Fran, I don\'t know whether it was true or not, that rumour was from a while ago.

I haven\'t heard anything since.

Nah its set in the future where a city is not only under siege by a evil enemy, but kept under the iron grip of an equally evil police state.

You now get a comic sidekick and I think you will get a hover board too ;)

Closest thing to GTA at the moment is Manhunt, which is Rockstars latest game using a modified GTA engine.

In terms of violence, its 100 times worse then all the GTA games conbined, has heaps of profanity (first game I ever heard to use the F and C words, not to mention the term \'fagg0t\') and has much more smooth graphics compared to GTA.

Try it out if your into that sorta thing, but be warned its pretty hardcore.

The only new GTA I heard about is the one being made for the PS3...I don\'t know if it\'s in production yet...all I know is it\'s gonna kick ass.

And as for Manhunt...it makes GTA look ike teletubbies...it\'s pretty hardcore...and you get cussed at every 3 seconds...and it\'s mostly composed of ripping people\'s heads off (literally).

EDIT: I just looked at the post above mine and realized I sound extremely redundant...I guess we think the same...

Why can\'t Grand Theft Auto just do modern times, in different locactions? I\'m not interested in any decade other than the one I\'m currently living in.

I\'m all for present-day Las Vegas.

I personally think the GTA series has steared alittle off track. It should be about stealing cars, period. None of this other mafia crap.

Bring on police chases, armed hold ups etc.

Yeah there was a rumor going around for a while that there was going to be one in Vegas and it was to be titled GTA:SinCity. I guess not though.

I think the game has gone a little off course in order to grab more people. I loved the series when it was an overhead view. 1 & 2 were great. Now its not that i havent enjoyed the others. They added a lot of factors that keep the gameplay entertaining even after you beat it, (something that the others didnt do quite as well).

I guess im torn. I dont mind the Mafioso thing but i think that it shouldnt just circle around the mafia. The originals were all about the whole lone wolf kinda deal. Now im just talking too much.

Manhunt is VERY long. Its also a bitch to finish, its so hard.

IGN states it takes 20-30 hrs to complete.

dang, i was getting frusterated with whever i was and i wasnt even close to level 10,lol. I dont know wether im gunna get the family guy dvd, halo pc or manhunt. I can only get one cuz im getting money for a bass head (SOB\'s cost a butt-load). Im leaning towards halo because i was addicted by the demo map, but i also liked manhunt a lot. And who doesnt like family guy
