Naughty Dog + Insomnaic = <3<3<3<3
« on: January 07, 2004, 02:50:45 PM »
In a recent interview leading up to the Vegas Dice summit. Jason Rubin CEO of Naughtydog talked with G-tv about the future of PS2, GCN, and Xbox--what the next generation will bring and just how close Insomniac and Naughtydog really are."

J.Rubin - The Jak & Daxter\'s legacy will unfold on the PS2, but it will not end there. Naughtydog and Insomniac are hard at work on the most mind blowing gaming experience of all time for the PS3. I really can\'t comment anymore on the subject matter, other than-- Being on board with Sony has opened up a great door for us at Naughtydog and the talented guys over at Insomniac, we have grown really close as developers and share the same idea\'s and goal\'s in video games. With that said we are set to show the next generation console owners just what can be accomplished in a videogame.

They went on to ask him if it was infact a J&D-R&C game, but he came back with "wait and see."

Um...  Can I say DEEEEELICIOUS?

After Jak II I\'m going to put this on my wait and rent list...

Sounds exciting but I was not at all happy with Naughty Dog\'s last effort...R&C 2 on the other hand is quite good.

Strange that most people who loved Jak 2 wasn\'t impressed with R&C2 and visa versa.

Could of been a Deliberate move by both Naughty Dog + Insomnaic to please all of the people.

Never played Jak2. R&C2 is fairly good though. I didnt like it at first. It was kinda dull and followed the path of any platformer but it got better as time went on. Ill check out J2 soon.

With such talent working on ps3 i cant imagine how insane it will look

Nice avatar.. ;)

Well then Im the lost link, I loved both. :D

Though I had to take a break with Jak II because some missions was driving me insane. R&C2 was pure joy all the way through.

Note to ND: Add more "continue points" (like those in R&C2:LAL) and you can tone down the difficulty setting a bit. Just because Jak 1 was easy, does not give you the right to make Jak 2 almost impossible in some levels. :p

Jak 2 had better:
- Story
- Graphics
- Gameplay (much more varying gameplay)
- Jokes
- Level design

R&C2 had better:
- Controls
- Worlds
- Weapons
- Much more to do when you complete the game :p
- Enemies
