Foxhole radios

I was watching Mailcall a couple days ago and R. Lee Ermey was talking about foxhole radios. I did some research and found this site. Its pretty cool how simple it is. After my midterms are done, I think I\'ll try and build one. I\'ll post pics when I work on it and stuff. Heres the link if anyone cares to read it.

On the radio; Funny you mention this, I am reading King Rat, by James Clavell, and one of the main things in it is a makeshift radio. What they did, is take 3 water bottles, and section it off. That way its just disguised as a water bottle, and with 1/3 of the radio, you are much safer from narks.

Its quite a good book, Not as good as Shogun, but still a good read.

The guide shows you how to build a PoW radio, so it might come in handy LIC to keep your sanity if you are ever banged in the slammer for any reason.

Its a good skill to learn. Afterall, you never know if you are drafted, become a POW and need to communicate. The only thing I don\'t know about these radios is if you can transmit to other radios.
