if you have a DVI Connecton on your vid-card I would go with the second, DVI is better.  MY Radeon 9700 Has one, I am using a dvi dongle.

You need the white socket shown on the left on your graphics card.

You don\'t absolutely NEED DVI, I bought a VGA LCD because it was cheaper and the picture is still very good.

Hi Styx, I was interested in upgrading to a 17" monitor, would you be willing to buy used?  I have a 1-year old Viewsonic VA520 bought new at Office Depot, zero dead or stuck pixels.  Color definition is very good, my friend bought the same one for his sister after seeing mine.

It goes for $250 or more on ebay, PM me with an offer.  I\'ll even let you return it if you don\'t like it or if a pixel was damaged during shipping (prolly won\'t happen).  I have the original box + manuals.. you or anyone else interested just lmk.
