Startup Problems
« on: March 21, 2004, 12:36:03 AM »
When I startup my computer it loads fine until it gets to the screen where the blue progress bar shows up and a big Windows Logo is showing.

When it gets to the very end of the progress bar it freezes. I have to restart the comp in safemode, then restart it from that to make it get past it.

Can someone tell me why, and how to fix this problem?

(Windows 2000)

you can also open msconfig and check the starup menu. Unselect all the shit.

It didnt work.

Apparently msconfig is not included with Windows2000, ?.

I downloaded it and found out a program called "pwned.exe" is being run on several occasions. Did some looking around- its a virus, got rid of it and now problem is solved.

Thanks.
