Used to always be lively, but then we started banning people. It was more fun to argue with them, but whatever.

You\'re right... it always does. Been here since 2001 and have seen it go up and down often.

Considering I was a member here since PSX2 first opened, here is what I have to say.

In the beginning the PSX2 forums was massive, we had topics going up every 10 min on average. Reason is because PSX2 was not yet released in the US, and XBOX was just beginning to be designed. Therefore you had all the PSX2 zealots(those same people today deny this of course) and XBOX zealots debating endlessly about what console will be more powerful, what games etc....

at that time this forum was big time biased towards psx2, but then again it is after all a PSX2 fourm. any tiopic in regards to xbox was bashed to hell by all the fanboys, and vise versa.

In all honestly I felt that the banning was getting out of hand, it now seems that people miss the trouble makers, as they provided much of the entertainment, and controversy here.

Anyhow I have this strange feeling that for PSX3 things will not be as lively and entertaining as before.

That´s because there is nothing much to say about PS3 yet...

There are too many politics in these forums. People just can\'t have a good time without getting ratted on by someone trying to look good.

The banning was appropriate, they were ruining every other thread that was posted. They were annoying as hell and most of them should\'ve been banned long before they did.

 First off I do not understand the sentence in which I bolded. Also suggest you look into the real meaning of what constitutes as fanboyism. First off I have never owned an XBOX(yet here you are labeling me as a fanboy) but I do own a PSX2, had it since day one. Second, i felt obligated to point out  the unnecessary fayboyism, bashing of the Xbox. Even though I am not found of the XBOX per say, there where too many instances where many people where bashing the system even before it came out, heck most of the arguments where based on the fact that it was made my M$, and how evil there are etc.. Many people here if honest will admit that there was indeed fanboyism bashing in both parties. Certainly not everyone was a hormone driven fanboy. While I have no evidence at this point in time(can\'t remember you specifically that far back) judging from your comments to me, I wouldn\'t be surprised if you were one of those people on a powertrip/riding the bandwagon of poo, pooing the XBOX.

Both consoles have there strength\'s and weakness. Some people just took the issue way to far/personally. Also IIRC the forums began to seriously degrade after the bashing on both sides became too overwhelming.

Who really cares about these things anymore. There will be a time where newbs will come when more word of the next gen rolls around. You must also remember that we were all new to eachother (well most of us) and so thats what made it so live (alongside all the bashing, deep arguments on the achitecture of the other consoles etc.).

 Now that we are established and know most of the people here, it becomes hard for newbs to even start shit before we ban them. Oh well. If you cant do much about the situation then you can be a bitch and complain, leave it alone or make a thread about the good ol days instead of whining, whiners

Which is Why I stated eariler that I don\'t beleive for the wav of  next GEN consoles, things will not play out they way they did before. PSX2 central like you said was new. Now that this is an established forum, in which most people have a better realtion with one another, I feel personally there will be a heck of alot more order next time round.
