The Nerve
« on: May 04, 2004, 03:29:26 PM »
Ok so I went to the hopistal found out I have chipped a disk in my back and
my shoulder is fractured and I may have pinched a nerve in my leg.

I have a hard time sitting at the pc. My back starts to bother me if I am
sitting at it for a period of time.

The insurance company called me to offer me so settlement. I told my friend about
it and he had the nerve to get pissed.

He has already settled and got himself and brand new car. He could
have killed me and has the nerve to be pissed.

Says he doesn\'t want me to sue his insurance company. The got me off work and they don\'t want me driving.

It is normal for you to accept a settlement of some kind.  The only question being... is the settlement high enough?  If it seems fair to you, then take it.  If not, you might continue to threaten legal action and see if they raise the settlement.

If you haven\'t done so already, you need to hire a lawyer as soon as possible.  Let the lawyer negotiate the settlement with the insurance company.  They will be able to advise you what is normal acceptable compensation for a case like this.  Don\'t talk to the insurance company or your friend at all until you have a retained legal counsel.

i know they said i injured the disk in my back.

The lady from the insurance company called me this morning cord I did not talk to her. I have hired me a lawyer now.

My friend is what is killing me. He has the nerve to have an attitude towards me.

My nephew who has a hip injury was also in the car and he had to have his hip operated on again.

The insurance company already totalled my friends car and he got a new impala.

Doesn\'t wanna pay higher insurance...

What an ass...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.
